The founder developed an online collaboration platform with video, audio and work tool features. In the wake of the Snowden affair a lot of emphasis was laid on data security and privacy.

Challenge

Get off the ground to further develop the software, test the product in the market and get to a proof of concept point.

Approach

Structure a first founding round with an lead angel investor. Put in place an advisory board and a board of directors. Develop a product plan and a pricing strategy and test it with clients.

Outcome

Seeding round completed. Adaptation of the initial B2C distribution model to a B2B strategy, focused on reseller and distributors who can white label the platform and sell it under their own brand name. Company reached global scalability without ramping up an expensive sales force. Profitability was reached while the owner maintained 80% ownership.
